This is an old rant I never posted - enjoy - or don't...

I was 36. My doctor told me that I needed to drink more alcohol - preferably wine. I have never cared for wine. I asked her if I could do mixed drinks. She told me it would raise my "good cholesterol" - whatever that is - here I thought cholesterol was a bad thing.

Anyway, I was at the Sapphire Lounge at Harrahs casino. I was sipping a drink, and mentally repeating the martial arts exercises my Sifu had been teaching me that week.

A good looking woman walked in. I cringed, mentally saying to myself, "sh*t".

Then, I thought to myself, "I am a heterosexual man, and a good looking woman just showed up at the bar - and we are the only two patrons here - and I am single - shouldn't I be happy?"

I wasn't. I had a very negative reaction to her presence. I wondered why. Then it hit me - when I was in college, (when women are in their late teens and early twenties, 90% of them are good looking), I had many negative experiences with them - namely, uncivil behavior on their part.

Sure, many of my friends had been successful with women, but those friends of mine were now suffering from panic attacks (or other mild psychological disorders), financial ruin, severe misogyny (yes, the REAL thing) - they could not talk about women (all women) without using words like b*tch, c*nt, whore etc...

I thought, "Am I just an old bitter woman hater - like the Three Stooge's described?"

I wondered how many men out there were "just plain fed up" with the bullsh*t that most modern women provide in plenty.
